Tasting Notes
Colour
A warming spectrum of golden amber hues, from pale straw to deep copper, each dram catching the light with a honeyed, sunlit glow.
Nose
Vanilla and caramel lift over toasted oak, with baking-spice warmth. Rye notes spark citrus zest; corn offers honeyed sweetness, while Balcones hints at malt, cocoa and subtle smoke. A warm, inviting bouquet that speaks to American whiskey’s diversity, gathered here in five expressive noses.
Palate
On the palate, a guided tour of American whiskey: corn sweetness and vanilla from Mellow Corn; rye spice and pepper from Sazerac; soft wheaten sweetness from Bernheim; caramel depth from Michter’s; malted richness from Balcones. Vanilla, toffee, baking spices, and oak mingle, finishing with a warm, lingering sweetness that showcases the breadth of American styles.
Finish
Warm and polished, the finish carries caramel and vanilla with creamy oak, a wink of fruit, and a rye-spice kiss that lingers gracefully into a long, balanced fade.
