Don Julio 1942 Small Batch Anejo Tequila
In stock
Don Julio 1942 is an ultra-premium Añejo tequila that represents the pinnacle of Don Julio’s craftsmanship. Named after the year Don Julio González began his tequila-making journey in 1942, this small batch expression is a tribute to his legacy and dedication to quality.
Made from 100% Blue Weber Agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco, the tequila is slow-cooked in traditional brick ovens and then distilled before being aged for a minimum of two and a half years in American white oak barrels. This extended ageing process gives Don Julio 1942 70cl its signature smoothness, complexity, and rich character.
The result is a refined and elegant tequila with layers of caramel, vanilla, toasted oak, and subtle spice, balanced by notes of cooked agave and dried fruit. Its velvety texture and long, sophisticated finish make it one of the most celebrated sipping tequilas in the world.
Best enjoyed neat or slightly chilled to fully appreciate its depth and complexity, Don Julio 1942 is a true connoisseur’s tequila. Whether shared on a special occasion or savoured slowly, it stands as a benchmark for premium aged tequila and a fitting tribute to one of Mexico’s most respected tequila makers.
