About Chairman's Reserve

Barnard’s work at Saint Lucia Distillers focused on giving the distillery a broader range of rum styles to work with, including Coffey column distillation, pot still production, different fermentation approaches and varied cask types. Chairman’s Reserve was developed from that setup, using pot and column still rum to create a balanced Saint Lucian style.

Saint Lucia Distillers became part of Groupe Bernard Hayot in 2016, through its spirits division Spiribam. The Chairman’s Reserve range also includes Forgotten Casks, which came from rum preserved after a fire at the distillery on 2 May 2007, when some barrels had to be moved into temporary storage during the recovery work.
