Blanton's 2019 Special Release Single Barrel #291 Bourbon Whiskey
In stock
Often referred to as Blanton's "Blue Label" the 2019 special release was bottled for Poland and a few other select European countries in very limited quantities. Bottled at a higher strength 49% ABV (98 Proof) than the regular Original Single barrel it offers a much more complex and richer flavour profile giving it a welcome spot on any top shelf bourbon collection.
This bottling also includes a beautiful silver and blue box, bottle bag and a stunning blue label, something never seen before on previous Blanton's bottlings. Note that not all bottles have the box included.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich sunlit amber with honey-gold reflections and a coppery glow, its warmth shimmering in the glass.
Nose
Intense vanilla, caramel and toffee ride atop toasted oak, delivering a luxurious bourbon aroma. Orange zest and dark fruit provide brightness beneath the richness, while cinnamon, clove and white pepper introduce crisp spice. Subtle tobacco, cocoa and leather add depth, with the higher ABV lending lift and a polished, lingering perfume.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied palate delivering concentrated sweetness and depth. Caramel and vanilla entwine with toasted oak, brown sugar and dark chocolate, while spices—cinnamon, clove, black pepper—lace the profile. A touch of citrus lifts the mid-palate, finishing warm and long with charred oak and espresso residues.
Finish
An expansive, long finish that clings with warm vanilla and caramel, followed by a ribbon of orange zest and cinnamon. Rich oak deepens into cocoa and leather, leaving a peppery, lightly smoky finale. At 98 proof, the heat threads through sweetness, delivering a velvety, lingering spice that fades into toasted oak and a whisper of tobacco.
