Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep golden amber with warm copper highlights and a sunlit, honeyed glow.

Nose

A rich, inviting nose of warm vanilla and toffee from first-fill bourbon and American virgin oak, entwined with rye spice—cinnamon, clove and white pepper—over creamy caramel. Subtle orchard fruit notes and toasted oak add depth, while a resinous, vanilla-laced sweetness lingers.

Palate

On the palate, warm, layered notes of spicy rye and creamy vanilla unfold over toasty bourbon oak. Ripe caramel and gentle oak sweetness mingle with peppery spice, delivering a balanced, medium-length finish that remains elegant and smooth.

Finish

Long, warm finish with vanilla sweetness and rye-spice lingering, carried by toasted oak and caramel. A refined, enduring ember of bourbon character that fades to gentle spice and subtle sweetness.

Bankhall takes its name from the historic Bank Hall Distillery in Liverpool, which was established in 1790 and recorded by Alfred Barnard in The Whisky Distilleries of the United Kingdom in 1887. The modern Bankhall whisky brand is owned by Halewood Artisanal Spirits and revives that English whisky name for a new generation of British-made releases.
