Tasting Notes

Nose

Gentle notes of toasted oak, citrus and coconut resolving to apple sponge.

Palate

At first malt and fruit dominate with mango and a hint of ripe banana. then toffee apple fades to creme brulee.

Finish

Long finsh with notes of apple custard and a hint of cloves.

Ballykeefe
Ballykeefe was established in County Kilkenny in 2015 on Morgan and Anne Ging’s family farm. Set near Cuffesgrange, outside Kilkenny city, it revived whiskey distilling in the county after more than 200 years and was built around a single-estate, grain-to-glass model. Barley is grown, harvested, milled, fermented, distilled and matured on the farm, tying the distillery closely to Kilkenny’s agricultural and distilling history.
