Part of Texas distillery Balcones 10th anniverary bottling run. Hechiceros is a Single Malt expression finished in port casks. Roughly translated into English as “sorcerers.” This boasts notes of juicy fruit, bread pudding and tres leches cake.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich copper-amber with a warm reddish-gold glow.
Nose
Creamy sour cream donut, saltwater taffy and eucalyptus honey. White grape juice adds pale sweetness, while dried apricots and honeysuckle lift the aroma with buoyant fruit and floral notes, a plush, inviting nose that hints at the port-cask sweetness to follow.
Palate
Juicy fruit bursts across the palate, brightened by honeysuckle, then rich bread pudding and creamy tres leches cake.
Finish
Electric Pop Rocks fizz on the palate, giving way to grape skin and black tea. A long, lingering finish carries bright fruit into a poised, refined tannic depth.
