An older bottling of Veuve Clicquot Rosé Ponsardin, made in the traditional house style, based on the Yellow Label blend with the addition of still red wine to provide colour and structure.

Veuve Clicquot rosé is known for a Pinot Noir-led character, giving body and depth alongside bright red fruit and fresh citrus notes, supported by fine bubbles and a balanced, dry finish. Older bottlings such as this are often of interest to collectors and enthusiasts as examples of the house style from an earlier period.

Veuve Clicquot
Veuve Clicquot was founded in Reims in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot. The house was transformed in 1805 when Barbe-Nicole Clicquot Ponsardin took over after the death of her husband, François Clicquot, becoming one of the most important figures in Champagne history. Under Madame Clicquot, the house introduced the first known vintage Champagne in 1810, developed the riddling table in 1816, and produced the first known blended rosé Champagne in 1818.
