La Grande Dame 2018 celebrates the elegance and strength of Pinot Noir, which makes up 90% of the blend—an homage to Madame Clicquot’s belief that “our black grapes make the finest white wines.” Refined and focused, the 2018 vintage is considered one of the standout harvests of recent years.

Particularly remarkable for Pinot Noir, the 2018 vintage delivered grapes with excellent phenolic maturity. The resulting wines are structured, layered, and complex, with polished tannins and a well-integrated flavor profile—signs of exceptional aging potential.

Veuve Clicquot
Veuve Clicquot was founded in Reims in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot. The house was transformed in 1805 when Barbe-Nicole Clicquot Ponsardin took over after the death of her husband, François Clicquot, becoming one of the most important figures in Champagne history. Under Madame Clicquot, the house introduced the first known vintage Champagne in 1810, developed the riddling table in 1816, and produced the first known blended rosé Champagne in 1818.
