The agave plant is what gives tequila is aggresive taste and legendary bite. The method of harvesting and cooking the pinas for distillation hasnt changed in centuries, because it hasnt had to. A by-product of this process is agave nectar which is a natural sweetener.

Tijuana came to the realisation that with the combination of the agave nectar and tequila they strike the balance for people who like a sting of their tequila rounded out with a touch of mellowness.
