Stronachie Distillery closed in 1930 and was demolished in the 1950s. Benrinnes distillery have since revived the Stronachie namelabel.

Colour

Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a warm, honeyed glow.

Nose

Opens with a refined bouquet of dried fruit and oak, the sherry influence clearly at play. Raisin, plum and fig drift over creamy toffee and vanilla, while almond and malt add a nutty, elegant backbone. A touch of spice—cinnamon and clove—lends warmth, finishing with cocoa and a kiss of caramel oak.

Palate

On the palate, silky and medium-bodied, with raisin and fig sweetness lacquered by dark chocolate and toffee. Sherry influence coats the tongue, revealing orange zest, cinnamon, and a touch of vanilla oak. Warmth supports a refined, nutty finish that lingers gracefully.

Finish

Long, luxurious finish with sherry influence echoing the palate. Dark cherry, fig and cocoa unfold with gentle almond and toasted spice, guided by subtle oak. The sweetness fades gracefully into a warm, velvety veil, leaving a refined, lingering nuttiness and a faint whisper of spice that invites the next sip.
