Rye whiskey is all the rage now with the top two "Best whiskies in the world" in the Jim Murray whisky bible 2016 both being Rye based and much loved by bartenders and mixologists for its rich and spicy character showing well in things like an old fashioned or manhattan cocktail. But on its own it is a real treat too, drier than bourbon and delivers lots of spicy chocolate and menthol and Rye bread notes. This oddity from Montana has great depth for one so young so add in some orange and black cherry into the mix as well. This is a great whiskey to start the Ryevolution!

Dry and focused, this Montana rye coats the palate with rye spice and spicy chocolate, tempered by a cool menthol lift. Rye bread notes anchor the profile, while orange zest and black cherry add bright fruit depth. Finishes long, dry, and peppery with a lingering rye glow.
Finish
Long, spicy finish with rye, cocoa and menthol fading into bright orange zest and a hint of black cherry. Dry and polished, the warmth lingers, a clean, refined length that invites the next sip.
