Pikesville 110 Proof Straight Rye Whiskey 6 Year Old
In stock
First produced in Maryland in the 1890s, Pikesville Rye, along with the rest of the once-booming Maryland Rye industry, was shuttered by Prohibition. The brand re-emerged after Prohibition and became the last standing Maryland Rye, as the rest of the industry's production had ceased. Now produced in Kentucky from extra-aged barrels stored in prime warehouse locations, Heaven Hill Distillery keeps this historic Maryland mark alive.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a warm mahogany edge, radiating honey-gold depth.
Nose
Bold rye spice on the nose—cracked pepper, cinnamon and clove weave with bright orange zest. Vanilla, toffee and caramel rise against toasted oak, while a whisper of leather and tobacco adds depth. Subtle warehouse warmth and age-softened sweetness complete the bouquet.
Palate
Bold, full-bodied with bright rye spice—cracked pepper, cinnamon and clove over toasted oak. Rich vanilla–caramel sweetness hints at dried fruit and molasses, then a touch of leather and tobacco. Long, warming finish with rye heat and caramelized oak.
Finish
Bold, lasting finish: a warm rye spice greets the tongue—cinnamon, clove, and black pepper—over a backbone of vanilla and caramel. Toasted oak threads through, and the sweetness slowly dissolves into a peppery, rye-grain glow that lingers with renewed depth.
