The fifth and final release in the Johnnie Walker Private Edition has been described as the richest and most indulgent release yet. This 28 year old midnight' blend has a notable smokey quality as the whisky has prominently feayured components from Islay, Islands and the Highlands (noticeably Caol Ila and Strathmill).
A release of only 3888 bottles worldwide this is bottled at 42.8% and is designed as a post dinner drink. Described as having citrus, apples, toffee and raisin on the nose with layers of creamy vanilla, caramel and butterscotch on the palate. The finish is rich with a mellow west coast smokiness.
