Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost And Rare Series - Port Ellen & Rare Blended Scotch Whisky
In stock
This limited edition has been carefully crafted by Master Blender Jim Beveridge and his small team of passionate blenders using eight handpicked whiskies from the four corners of Scotland, including three irreplaceable ‘ghost whiskies’ and five incredibly rare malt expressions, from the Johnnie Walker Blue Label reserves, all of which are at least 20 years old. At the heart of this blend lies the highly sought-after whisky from the famed Island distillery of Port Ellen which closed its doors in 1983.
The 2nd release in what is fastly becoming one of the most sought after and collectable releases in the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Range. Ghost and Rare Port Ellen is a combination of some of the rarest whiskies on the planet. Central to this whisky is stock from the iconic and Legendary Port Ellen distillery, which gives this whisky a smoky, maritime character along with whiskies from the long lost Grain Distilleries Carsebridge and Caledonian, that add richness and sweetness. 5 other rare whiskies are then combined to create this incredibly layered and complex whisky.
This is an exceptional blend that marries rich malty notes, tropical fruits and the smoky complexity of Port Ellen on the finish. Each bottle is individually numbered with a custom design showing a map of Scotland and the location of each of the distilleries that make up the whisky. An outstanding luxury whisky that will appeal both to the connoisseur who wants to try some of the finest whiskies produced and would also take pride of place in any personal collection.
