Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a rich mahogany edge.
Nose
Opulent sherry-driven bouquet with dark raisin and fig, glistening orange zest, and burnt sugar. Rich almond and walnut meet vanilla, caramel, and cedar, while whispers of tobacco, espresso, and leather lend a polished, old-bottling complexity.
Palate
Silky and medium-bodied on the palate, this blend unfolds with rich dried fruit, fig and raisin, layered over treacle and dark chocolate notes. Sherry-cask influence yields subtle oxidative sweetness, with orange zest, prunes and a whisper of spice—cinnamon and black pepper. Velvet tannins drift into a long, warming finish, leaving mocha-tinged oak and a refined, lingering warmth.
Finish
Long and luxurious, the finish carries sherry-softened fruit into velvet oak. Raisin, fig and dark plum linger, guided by cocoa nib and toasted almond. Cinnamon and clove weave through, fading to a warm, refined glow.
