Finished in bespoke craft IPA barrels, this pioneering new malt is imbued with unique zesty citrus notes and the subtle tang of fresh hops. The flavour comes with carefully hand selecting the right malt whiskies to complement the extra hoppy notes.
Part of a collaboration with IPA craft beer expert, Seb Jones who created an innovative new craft ale for the distillery.
An achievement never seen before in the whisky industry, Malt Master Brian Kinsman has proven that traditional whisky casks can still be seasoned in a pioneering way.
Collaborating with a local Speyside craft brewer, Brian created a bold and zesty IPA beer to imbue our rich oak casks with extra hoppy notes.
The experiment resulted in the first single malt Scotch whisky ever finished in craft IPA casks.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Radiant golden straw, with a warm honey hue and a subtle amber tint.
Nose
Bright citrus zest leads the aroma—grapefruit, lemon and mandarin—woven with a crisp hop freshness: piney, floral, and subtly aromatic. Beneath, soft malt sweetness and smooth oak lend warmth, hinting at IPA-cask influence while remaining refined.
Palate
Bright citrus zest - grapefruit and orange - trails across the palate, joined by a lively tang of fresh hops. IPA-barrel seasoning adds a crisp, resinous bitterness that supports a soft, biscuity malt backbone. The finish is long and refreshing, with lingering citrus rind and a delicate hop lift that keeps the mouth clean and bright.
Finish
An enduring finish that blooms with bright citrus peel—grapefruit zest and lime—interlaced with a refined hop bite. Subtle resin and pine mingle with warm oak, leaving a dry, refreshing trail. The IPA cask influence whispers through the last sips, a crisp, lingering bitterness that balances the malt sweetness with a bright, textural finish.
