Glendronach Cask Strength Batch #11 Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky (Includes Branded Glass)
Out of stock
The GlenDronach Cask Strength Batch 11 is a powerful Highland single malt Scotch whisky that presents the distillery’s richly sherried character at its natural cask strength. Matured in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, this limited-edition release brings together generous dark fruit, treacle, chocolate and warming spice. It is bottled at an impressive 59.8% ABV, without chill filtration and at its natural deep bronze colour.
Founded in the Valley of Forgue in 1826, The GlenDronach has built its reputation around full-bodied single malt whisky matured in Spanish sherry casks. Batch 11 continues that tradition by combining the sweeter, fruit-rich influence of Pedro Ximénez casks with the nuttier, more structured character associated with Oloroso sherry maturation. The result is an intense yet carefully balanced whisky that captures the depth and complexity for which The GlenDronach is renowned.
The nose opens with mulled cranberry, orange and clove liqueur, followed by dark honey, treacle and polished nutty oak. On the palate, richly spiced bramble wine and treacle toffee are joined by chocolate-coated raisins, cinnamon, maple syrup and sultanas. The finish is long and warming, with lingering Seville orange peel, nutmeg, caramel and maraschino cherry.
The GlenDronach Cask Strength Batch 11 can be enjoyed neat to experience its full weight and intensity, although a small amount of water gradually reveals additional fruit, sweetness and spice. Presented in a 70cl bottle, it is an excellent choice for admirers of cask-strength Scotch whisky, heavily sherried single malts and collectible GlenDronach releases.
