Colour

Golden straw with a warm amber glow.

Nose

Zesty lemon and greengage fruit balanced with white chocolate. Evocative of a spring tide with a hint of seaweed, a delicate wisp of smoke lingering through the finish.

Palate

Bright lemon zest and greengage mingle with creamy white chocolate, unfolding a waxy, coastal sweetness. A briny thread of sea spray and seaweed underpins the palate, while a whisper of smoke lingers through the finish, adding smoky-salty character that invites another slow sip.

Finish

A soft coastal finish, with a wisp of smoke drifting through to the last kiss. Subtle seaweed and sea-salt echo the shore, leaving a clean, lingering maritime glow.

(KLINE-leash) Established in 1819 by the Marquis of Stafford in 1819, Clynelish was one of the first purpose-built distilleries. In 1823, the distillery became legal under the Excise Act. Unfortunately due to the recession in 1931 the distillery closed and did not open again until the end of World War II.
