Silkie Irish Whiskey is created by Sliabh Liag Distillers, a family-owned producer founded by James and Moira Doherty in County Donegal. The range takes inspiration from Donegal’s historic whiskey-making traditions and the local folklore of the Silkies, mythical seals said to shed their skins and take human form on land. The Legendary Silkie combines double and triple-distilled malt whiskeys with soft grain whiskey and a subtle proportion of peated malt.
