Production remains central to Patrón’s identity. The brand says its tequila is made using traditional and modern methods side by side, with agave cooked in small brick ovens, crushed using both a roller mill and the traditional tahona stone process, then fermented and distilled in copper pot stills. Patrón also states that no less than 60 hands are involved in making each bottle, which helps explain why the brand has long positioned itself at the more handcrafted end of premium tequila.
From Silver, Reposado and Añejo through to El Cielo, El Alto and older prestige releases, Patrón has built a range that keeps the brand at the centre of the luxury tequila category.
