About Glendalough
Glendalough Distillery is an Irish whiskey and gin producer from County Wicklow, founded in 2011 by Barry Gallagher and Brian Fagan. The name comes from Glendalough, the Wicklow valley known as “the valley of two lakes”, an area also associated with the 6th-century monastic settlement of St Kevin.
Glendalough produces Irish whiskey, poitín and gin, with Wicklow playing a central role in the brand’s identity. Its whiskey range includes single grain, single malt and pot still releases, with notable cask finishes including Irish oak and Japanese Mizunara oak, while Glendalough Wild Botanical Gin uses botanicals foraged from the Wicklow Mountains.
