Black Maple Hill Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 16 Year Old
Out of stock
The Black Maple Hill brand was first introduced back in 2000, back before bourbon got really trendy. It’s produced by CVI Brands and for a long time, CVI Brands sourced its bourbon from Kentucky. The early Black Maple Hill releases were said to be wheated bourbon from Stizel-Weller and bottled by Julian Van Winkle III himself.
The magical touch of the Van Winkle finger has conferred an irresistible desirability, and Black Maple Hill bottlings began to sell for thousands of dollars on the secondary market and this represents the holy grail of the Bourbon collectors world.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold glow and subtle mahogany hues.
Nose
Opulent nose of polished oak, vanilla and maple, with caramel and brown sugar. Hints of dried orange peel, walnut and cacao drift through, paired with gentle baking spices and a whisper of leather and tobacco from long cask maturation.
Palate
Silky and full-bodied, this bourbon coats the palate with luxurious caramel, maple syrup and vanilla, joined by toffee and dark chocolate. Spices—cinnamon, nutmeg, a hint of pepper—rise against ripe oak, with a subtle orange zest note. The texture is creamy yet structured, finishing long and warm, with refined sweetness and a lingering, dignified oak glow.
Finish
Silky, caramel-rich and deeply inviting, the finish unfolds with warm vanilla and maple, lingering as citrus zest fades into toasted oak. Cinnamon and brown sugar drift in, a whisper of clove and baking spice, then cocoa and dried fruit echo in a long, velvet finale. An elegant, enduring warmth coats the palate, leaving a refined, honeyed glow that lingers gracefully.
