A miniature pure malt expression from Ben Nevis. This is an updated version of the previous release, which sought to recreate the MacDonalds Traditional Malt, a popular dram during the late 1800's.

Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold hues and a subtle mahogany edge.
Nose
Rich, malt-forward nose with sherry-kissed fruit and oak. Dried fig and date mingle with orange zest, toasted almond, and a touch of vanilla spice, all wrapped in polished barley sweetness.
Palate
On the palate, mellow malt coats with sherry sweetness, delivering a silky, medium-bodied mouthfeel. Dried fig and raisin mingle with toasted almond, coffee, and dark chocolate, while vanilla and spice—cinnamon and clove—build a refined sweetness. The finish brings orange zest, nutty oak, and a lingering warmth that fades to a polished, dry finale.

Long and refined, the finish coats the palate with plush sherry sweetness—raisin, fig, and cocoa—intertwined with warming spice and toasted oak. It lingers with a gentle nutty note and a final whisper of fruit.
