Distillery Bottling

An antique bottle of a now long closed distillery that is now produced at The Buffalo Trace distillery that might well date pre Buffalo Trace production as this bottle is 86 proof instead of the new 80 in production now?

Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep amber with coppery-gold highlights and a warm mahogany glow.

Nose

Aromas unfold with honeycomb sweetness, mingling chocolate and minty toffee. Subtle charred oak supports toasted vanilla, while floral honey lifts the bouquet and buttery popcorn adds a warm, toasty hint.

Palate

Spicy, rich corn leads the palate, unfolding into toasted vanilla, charred oak, and dark chocolate, with a minty toffee lift.

Finish

Spicy new oak lingers with chocolate and orange, a delicate corn-syrup sweetness on vanilla waffles, and a minty lift that stays on the palate.
