Absolut Vodka has a rich tradition of collaborating with artists, resulting in over 800 artworks inspired by the brand’s distinctive bottle silhouette. The first and most famous of these collaborations was with Warhol, who created the iconic Absolut Warhol artwork. Another Warhol piece from 1985 was overlooked for 35 years until it was unexpectedly rediscovered in 2020.

This recovered artwork is reintroduced to the public with a limited-edition ABSOLUT WARHOL bottle design. This artistic bottle highlights elements of the painting from every angle, celebrating the enduring legacy of collaboration between these two cultural icons and blending the past with the present.

Absolut traces its roots to Lars Olsson Smith, who introduced continuous distillation to Sweden in 1879 and produced Absolut Rent Brännvin, the “absolutely pure” spirit that inspired the modern vodka. The brand’s identity is closely tied to Åhus in southern Sweden, where Absolut is still produced. Pernod Ricard acquired V&S, the Swedish group behind Absolut, in 2008, bringing the vodka into one of the world’s major international spirits portfolios.
