Glenfiddich Solera Reserve Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky 15 Year Old

Glenfiddich 15 Year Old Solera Reserve is a rich and exceptionally smooth Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from the renowned family-owned Glenfiddich Distillery in Dufftown. Matured for at least 15 years, this expression showcases the distillery’s fruit-led house style alongside layers of sherry richness, sweet oak and warming spice.

The whisky is aged in European oak sherry casks and new oak casks before being brought together in Glenfiddich’s unique Solera Vat. Inspired by the solera systems traditionally used in Spanish sherry bodegas, this large oak tun has never been completely emptied and has remained at least half full of mature whisky since 1998.

 Each new batch therefore combines with whisky already held inside the vat, creating remarkable consistency while adding further depth, smoothness and complexity.

Sweet heather honey, vanilla fudge and ripe dark fruits lead the aroma, accompanied by soft oak and gentle baking spice. The palate is silky and full-bodied, revealing layers of sherry-soaked fruit, marzipan, cinnamon and ginger alongside creamy vanilla and Glenfiddich’s characteristic orchard-fruit sweetness. A rich and satisfying finish follows, with lingering honey, sweet spice and mellow oak.

Bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle, Glenfiddich 15 Year Old Solera Reserve is an approachable yet complex Speyside whisky suited to both established single malt drinkers and those exploring older Scotch whisky.
