XO pays homage to the terroir of the Cognac region with carefully selected eaux-de-vie matured up to twenty-five years. A slight hint of Borderies to the blend of Petite Champagne & Grande Champagne, distilled with lees, accentuate and elevate the Courvoisier signature style of delicately rich fruit notes, revealing and exquisitely layered matured blend with elegant floral finish.

Courvoisier was founded in Jarnac in 1828 by Félix Courvoisier and Jules Gallois, and it remains one of the best-known names in Cognac. Its history is closely tied to Napoleon: the house says Napoleon Bonaparte visited the Courvoisier cellars in 1811, and in 1869 Courvoisier was named official supplier to Napoleon III’s Imperial Court, a distinction that helped establish its reputation well beyond France.
