About Camus
Camus was founded in Cognac in 1863 by Jean-Baptiste Camus, who brought together a group of producers under the name La Grande Marque before taking full family control of the business. More than 160 years later, Camus remains family owned, now led by the fifth generation, Cyril Camus, making it one of the largest independent family Cognac houses still in operation.
The house is closely associated with the Borderies, the smallest cru in Cognac, where the Camus family owns extensive vineyards. Borderies eaux-de-vie are prized for their floral, rounded and aromatic character, and this influence is central to releases such as Camus Borderies VSOP and XO Borderies Family Reserve.
