About Black Shuck
Black Shuck Distillery was founded in Norfolk by Sarah and Patrick Saunders, beginning as a family project in 2011 before becoming a full-time spirits business. The name comes from the East Anglian legend of Black Shuck, the ghostly black dog said to roam the coast and countryside of Norfolk and Suffolk, giving the brand a strong local identity rooted in folklore.
The range started with sloe gin and has grown to include gin, rum, vodka, liqueurs and schnapps, produced from its distillery in Hindolveston, North Norfolk. Black Shuck’s style is built around accessible, flavour-led spirits, with the wider collection including classic dry gin, fruit gins, spiced rum and seasonal releases.
