A Partnership Built on Legacy and Performance
In 2026, two iconic brands, Jack Daniel’s and the McLaren Formula 1 Team, have come together once again to create a limited-edition Tennessee whiskey that captures the spirit of both tradition and innovation.
The collaboration between Jack Daniel’s and McLaren isn’t new, but it keeps getting better. What began as a partnership rooted in shared values (craftsmanship, precision and relentless pursuit of excellence) has evolved into an annual tradition of limited-edition releases. The 2026 edition is particularly significant as it celebrates two major milestones:
- McLaren's 1,000th Formula 1 Grand Prix
- The 160th anniversary of the Jack Daniel's Distillery
This shared milestone adds extra meaning to the release - highlighting a story built on endurance, innovation and lasting legacy.
What’s Inside the Bottle?
At its core, this is still classic Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey, but with a subtle performance upgrade. The mashbill is comprised of 80% corn, 8% rye, 12% malted barley, and is charcoal mellowed through 10 feet of sugar maple. Aged in new American oak, the whiskey is bottled at a higher ABV of 43% (as opposed to the traditonal 40%). The higher proof gives the whiskey a bit more punch, fitting for a Formula 1-inspired release.
A Perfect Blend of Two Worlds
The Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 McLaren Formula 1 Team 2026 Edition isn’t trying to reinvent whiskey. Instead, it does something arguably more interesting; it reframes a classic through the lens of modern motorsport, successfully blending two different worlds with aligned standards of excellence.
