Not to be confused with the pre - 2014 bottlings. This incarnation of Black Maple Hill spirits come from the Stein craft distillery in Oregon. This is a straight Rye whiskey (comprised of mostly 4 year old stock).
Milk chocolate, shortbread and peppercorn on the nose. The palate is smooth and sweet with treacle and syrup alongside chilli and paprika spice. The finish is woody, spicy and semi-sweet. Enjoyably spicy.

Silky and sweet, with treacle and syrup underpinning a rye-driven warmth; chilli and paprika spice weave through the palate, finishing woody, spicy and semi-sweet.
Finish
Woody and spicy, with a semi-sweet finish that lingers warmly; oak and peppercorn spice echo through the palate, ending with an enjoyably spicy embrace.
