About Silent Pool
Silent Pool Gin is produced at Silent Pool Distillers on the Albury Estate in the Surrey Hills, overlooking the spring-fed pool from which it takes its name. Established by Ian McCulloch and James Shelbourne, the distillery transformed a collection of former farm buildings into a working craft distillery. Its signature English gin is made with 24 botanicals, combining traditional juniper with chamomile, elderflower, lavender, rose, citrus and honey sourced from the Albury Estate.
The result is a full-bodied, juniper-led gin with fresh citrus, delicate floral notes and a subtle honeyed sweetness. Silent Pool’s distinctive turquoise bottle reflects the colour of the nearby pool, while its intricate design incorporates the botanicals used in the recipe. Silent Pool Distillers was acquired by William Grant & Sons in 2023, joining a portfolio that includes Hendrick’s Gin, Glenfiddich and The Balvenie, while production remains at the distillery in Surrey.
