About Pusser's
Pusser’s is a British Navy rum brand with roots in the Royal Navy’s long tradition of issuing a daily rum ration to sailors. The name comes from “purser”, the ship’s supply officer responsible for issuing the rum, and the brand is closely associated with the original naval-style blend served before the daily tot was ended on Black Tot Day, 31 July 1970.
The range includes Pusser’s Blue Label, Gunpowder Proof, 15 Year Old and other navy rum expressions, with a rich, full-bodied style built around dark sugar, molasses, dried fruit, oak, spice and Demerara character. Bold enough for sipping and highly suited to classic rum cocktails, Pusser’s is especially well known as the key rum used in a traditional Painkiller, one of the most famous Caribbean rum serves.
