About Nyetimber
Nyetimber is one of the leading names in English sparkling wine, based in the south of England with vineyards across Sussex, Hampshire and Kent. The estate name appears in the Domesday Book of 1086, while its modern wine story began in 1988 when Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier were planted for traditional-method sparkling wine.
Eric Heerema became owner and custodian of Nyetimber in 2006, later bringing in winemakers Cherie Spriggs and Brad Greatrix. Nyetimber uses only estate-grown fruit, with grapes handpicked and vinified by parcel to give the winemaking team detailed control over each cuvée.
Nyetimber’s English sparkling wine range includes Classic Cuvée Multi-Vintage, Rosé, Blanc de Blancs, Tillington Single Vineyard and the prestige 1086 wines. The style is built around freshness, finesse and extended lees ageing, with chalk and greensand vineyard sites helping produce the clean acidity and structure associated with high-quality English sparkling wine.
