Dictador traces its rum heritage to Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, where the Parra family’s rum-making history dates back to 1913. The brand is now led by third-generation Master Blender Hernan Parra, with production centred in Colombia and a strong focus on aged, blended rum.

The core range includes Dictador 12 and 20, built from aged rum components matured in American oak, alongside older expressions such as Aurum and Platinum, which use ex-bourbon, ex-sherry and port cask influence. Dictador has also developed a significant fine and rare side through limited vintage releases, art-led bottlings and the 2 Masters series, which pairs Colombian rum with cask finishing from producers across whisky, Cognac, Champagne, Armagnac and wine.
