About Connie Glaze
Connie Glaze is a Cornish vodka brand founded by Tarquin Leadbetter, the self-taught distiller behind Southwestern Distillery and Tarquin’s Gin. The brand launched in 2023 and takes its name from Constantine Bay, with “Glaze” drawn from the Cornish word for blue. It is made at Southwestern Distillery on the north Cornwall coast, a business Leadbetter founded in 2012 and which has been described by The Gin Guild as Cornwall’s first distillery in more than 100 years.
The brand is built around its coastal Cornish identity, with vodka made from 100% British wheat and filtered through purified golden sand at the distillery before being blended with distilled water. Connie Glaze also ties that local focus to beach conservation, with 1% of bottle sales donated to Beach Guardian CIC to support clean-up work around Constantine Bay and the wider Cornish coast.
