Croft

Croft

Croft is one of the oldest names in Port, with its origins traced to 1588, when Henry Thompson joined the Merchants Company of York and established the wine business that later became Croft. The Croft family became involved in the 18th century, and the house produced what it describes as the earliest known Vintage Port, Croft 1781. In 1889, Croft acquired Quinta da Roêda in the Douro Valley, which remains the main source of wine for its Vintage Ports.
