Brugal
Brugal was founded in 1888 by Don Andrés Brugal Montaner in the Dominican Republic, after he had learned rum-making in Cuba and settled in Puerto Plata. The company became one of the country’s major rum producers and remains closely tied to the Brugal family, with current Maestros Roneros Jassil Villanueva and Miguel Ripoll both fifth-generation descendants of the founder.
