Ardray was launched in 2023 by Beam Suntory, now Suntory Global Spirits, as a modern blended Scotch whisky shaped by both Scottish whisky-making and Suntory’s Japanese blending approach. It was created by Chief Blender for Scotch Calum Fraser with Suntory’s blending team, using malt and grain whiskies from across Scotland rather than presenting the blend around a single distillery.
