Colour

Golden amber with copper undertones and a sunlit honey-gold sheen.

Nose

Rich vanilla and caramel open the nose, with velvety toffee, maple and toasted oak. A hint of citrus zest lifts the bouquet as cinnamon and nutmeg add a regal, lingering warmth.

Palate

Silky and creamy on the palate, with vanilla and caramel sweetness layered over toasted oak. Maple and orchard fruit unfold alongside soft spice and a hint of rye, adding complexity. A luxurious mouthfeel leads to a warm, lingering finish.

Finish

An elegant, long finish that coats the palate with velvety warmth. Caramel and vanilla linger, with a hint of maple sweetness, supported by soft oak and spice. The finale stretches into toasted almond notes, leaving a refined, lingering sweetness that fades gracefully.

Crown Royal was created in 1939 to mark the visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth to Canada. Seagram developed the whisky after hundreds of trial blends, presenting it in a cut-glass decanter with the purple velvet bag that is still closely associated with the brand today.
