Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with mahogany undertones and a burnished, coppery glow.
Nose
Opulent sherry-tinged bouquet with dried figs and raisins, orange zest and treacle unfolding over velvety oak. Notes of vanilla, toffee and cocoa weave through cedar and gentle spice, with a kiss of leather and cigar-box sophistication—an aged, dignified perfume that speaks of decades in seasoned cask.
Palate
Silky and richly sherried, this 50-year Macallan coats the palate with fig, date and dark plum, unfolding into baking chocolate and roasted almond. Hints of orange zest, cinnamon and polished oak mingle with velvety sherry sweetness, then a long, refined finish of spice, chocolate and cedar.
Finish
An impeccably long, velvety finish that lingers with sherried fruit, orange zest, and dark chocolate. Dried plum and date blend with toasted oak and spice, tapering to a warm whisper of tobacco and cedar.
