Aged in Japanese Mizunara oak (indigenous to Japan) casks for a true oriental experience
Nose: Sweet, spicy and perfumed oak, leathery notes or new suede, sugared almonds, coconut, woody incense, cinnamaon, caramelised oranges.
Palate: Huge delivery of sweet and oily aromatic oak, butterscotch, leather, mocha, coconut, spicy raisin.
Finish: Chocolate, coconut, aromatic spices, buttery cake mix, sandalwood.
Very aromatic and elegant and very rare to find any Mizunara cask aged whisky.
97 points Jim Murray's Whisky Bible
"No other malt offers this flavour profile. And as there are now very few Japanese oak casks still in the industry it is a malt worthy of as long a time as you can afford it. A very special whisky of very high quality."
