Longmorn
(long-MORN)
In Gaelic, Longmorn means “place of the holy man”. This is because the distillery was built by John Duff in 1894 on the site of an ancient chapel. John Duff also built the Benriach distillery.
Longmorn use ex-bourbon American oak casks to mature their whisky along with European sherry casks. Most of the 3.5 millions litres of whisky produced yearly at Longmorn is used in blends, however they have released a few single malts such as their 15 year old.
