The Glenburgie distillery in the Speyside town of Findhorn (also known as Glenburgie-Glenlivet and Glen Burgie / Glenburry) started production under the name Kilnflat in 1829 but officially founded almost two decades earlier in 1810 by one William Paul. Glencraig was also produced for a little over two decades at the distillery between 1958 and 1981 using ‘The Lomand Stills’. It is one of those obscure distilleries that produce a malt whisky that is used almost exclusively in blends, in this case mostly Ballantine's. In 2003 - The old Glenburgie distillery is demolished and construction starts on a brand new complex. The reconstruction costs more than 4 million GBP.
