Dallas Dhu (silent)

(Dallas DHU)

Meaning Black Water Valley and the last whisky to flow here was back in 1983 but this distillery is still very much intact and sits off the A940 near Forres in Morayshire and open as Scotland’s only dedicated distillery museum. Originally established in 1899 with the house style here being rich, quite full bodied with gentle spice and notes of fruit and nut chocolate. The Rare Malt bottles from Diageo are the main official ones available and some increasingly rare old independent bottles from Gordon & Macphail.
