The Craigellachie distillery was built in 1891 and then rebuilt in 1896, and the finally extended in 1965. It was built by Alexander Edward. One reason to visit the distillery is the Quaich Bar at the Craigellachie Hotel which stocks 365 whiskies!! One for every day of the year!
Craigellachie distillery gets its process water from various springs in the Conval Hills, and orders in special peated malted barley. Bacardi bought the distillery in 1999. Most of the whisky made here is used in Dewar’s White Label.
