Hillside (silent)
Also known as Glen Esk, Highland Esk, North Esk and Montrose located in Montrose in the Eastern Highlands. Established
In 1897 the distillery was one of four operating between Aberdeen and Dundee, today only Glencadam remains. Except for the maltings, the buildings of Hillside / Glenesk were demolished in 1996. Three Rare malts from Diageo have been bottled, the last in 1997 under Glen Esk and along with Hillside are your best chance of finding malt from this multiple named lost distillery.
