Beautifully translates as “Hill of the Juniper Bush” that lies just outside the northern highland city of Inverness. Established in 1897 and was at one point in the 1970’s the largest malt distillery in Scotland. Also the first Scottish distillery to become wholly Japanese owned with Bowmore, Glen Garioch, Auchentoshan, and Ben Nevis also now under part Japanese ownership. Traditionally quite rich, sweet and malty in style with arrange of ages and cask finishes available but from 2013 a peated range called Cu Bocan was introduced as well and also the main malt that goes into The Antiquary blend.
