Product Description
Featured in the 1001 whiskies you must try before you die book
Aged in Ex-peated Islay casks rather than made using peated barley for just a subtle touch of smoke and peat character.
Nose: Soft and delicate peat notes (fabric softener and soot ash!) vanilla, seaweed, peardrops, pine cones, lime candy floss, green apples dropped ion salty rock pools by the sea.
Palate: mossy vanilla, peppery fresh lime scented peat, creamy pear drops, green apples all wrapped in a blanket of that soft peat smoke.
Finish: Fresh seaweed, peated lime cordial, green apple with icing sugar, white pepper and ashy oak.
A light and elegant peated Penderyn and a good introduction to the delights of peaty whisky without being hit over the head with TCP or IODINE!
